Art For Art's Sake, Money For God's Sake

Up before the lark for a train to London.  We were supposed to be going together but Skunk's had man flu since Monday so he's staying home and I'm flying solo.

First destination was Borough Market.  If we'd been together we'd probably have gone for breakfast but I just bought a selection of gf cakes to take home (Bakewell tarts, a cheese scone and a chunk of Basque cheesecake).   I then set off to walk to find my spot for the Lord Mayor's Show.  Along the river, over the wobbly bridge, up to St Paul's and up Fleet Street.

It was all over by about 1pm so I headed to the next place on my list; Tracey Emin at The White Cube.  The exhibition ends tomorrow so it's my last opportunity. Interesting but busy.

My train home was booked for 4.30 but I ended up.at the station very early.  It was a bit nippy on the benches so I bought a paper and treated myself to a glass of wine in the Sir John Betjeman.

Home in time for the dancing and an early night.
