Lest We Forget - RUH, Bath

Phoned the home to remind them that I was picking Dad up to take him to hospital and that he needed to be ready and have had an early lunch. Message was passed to the nurse, who passed it to the carer, who did nothing! When I arrived at the home in the dial-a-ride bus poor Dad had just sat down to eat his lunch and it was a mad rush to get him ready and to the hospital in time for his appointment. Luckily I had a bar of chocolate in my bag so he at least had something to eat. After the appointment I returned to the home with Dad and sat with him for a couple of hours, after making sure he was given a late lunch and the nurse knew exactly what to do with his eye meds. Lift home from a neighbour who saw me waiting at the bus stop. Lovely sunny afternoon after a cloudy morning, chilly again.
