My Dear Princess and Dear Fellow,

Tonight was The Last Night of Reg & Claudia. We met up with them before they headed off to yet another literary event as part of the festival their friend Jenni was in. 

I decided to book The Library, because it's a fun place that does good cocktails with a nice ambience, but also because it was 5 minutes walk from Caro's hairdresser. 

Caro had just come from there and there was a lot of talk about how glam she looked although she complained the Wellington wind had rendered her stylist's work "****ing unrecognisable".

All the same there was a lot of chat about Scotland, about tartan*, about drugs and about travel. 

And there were hugs and cocktails and no-one asked us to ssshhhh. It's a pretty groovy library.

* Reg owns a pink tartan suit. He wore it to an event in New York City which Alex Salmond also attended. "But his minders kept moving him further and further away from me, I can't think why."
