Heatherwick bus

This is the first London bus to be designed specifically for the capital in more than fifty years, replacing the much-loved Routemaster. designed by Thomas Heatherwick (he of the Olympic cauldron fame).

It's a hybrid vehicle, powered by both electricity and diesel, has an open platform like the old Routemaster, allowing Londoners to hop on and off at will. This is the first time I've seen one as they're only running on a few routes at the moment. Groovy!
