The Sea of Cloud …

… creeping into the valleys, and deep, cold shadow or bright sunshine as we visited 3 cols today: Col de Floray, Col de Pavis, Col de Bise. It’s a great circuit that I had never done before just over the border in France above the Val d’Abondance. Lake Geneva is under the cloud somewhere. I would not like to live in Geneva or Lausanne in the autumn or winter it’s often like this! 
We just saw two bouquetin (a large male in extras) as we did not know it was a French holiday so there were too many people up there at the same time as us! We’ll go again next year as winter is supposed to arrive tomorrow with snow above 1,200m. What an amazing autumn we have had but this was probably the end of it.
