Armistice Day...

Actual sunshine today! A real shock after so many grey days! Wonderful to see!

And we had a wander at Shoebury Garrison this morning to see the Brent Geese on the estuary as the tide was going out.  And we stopped at the lovely cafe there for a bit to eat, and it was also nice that at 11am they rang a bell and everyone fell silent to remember.  The cafe is in the same building as the heritage centre, where there's a lovely small military museum that looks back on the role of the garrison and pays tribute to many locals and their service to their country.  Felt like the right place to be at 11
