In Transition

I pass this site most days on my way to and from work. For me it is full of questions - what was there before it was knocked down - old tenements, or 1960s office blocks perhaps? What stories did they hold? Who owns it and who cares about what happens there next? How long will it be this big empty space with piles of rubble with buddleia slowly encroaching? Usually it seems deserted but today there was a drilling machine on site. I like the open space it creates but I'm looking forward to seeing what emerges.
