Nerines in the sunshine
I've been waiting so long to see the Nerine flowers in sunshine, but finally this morning we did see a glimmer of sun, after more than a week of grey dull skies, and I managed to photograph the blooms.
We spent time in the garden planting a few spring bulbs and doing some weeding and tidying up, but remembering to pause for a couple of minutes at 11am, as it is Remembrance Sunday.
Late afternoon, we went for a brief local walk and bumped into our friend, C, who had surgery for a replacement heart valve just over a year ago. He is so well recovered he has recently walked part of the Offa's Dyke Way (20 km on one day ). It was a useful chat with him as another of our friends, P, had a new heart valve and bypass surgery last Friday, carried out by the same surgeon.C's advice to P to take up all the cardiac rehab physio on offer, seems very wise.
