At the going down

Si and I managed to get ourselves out of bed this morning and down to the beach before the parade arrived 

There was a wonderful turnout but I was confused by the sheer number of people wearing sometimes up to 12.medals.  So identified some of them as Burma crosses and said there was no way that person could have been in Burma 

Id like to think they were wearing their relatives and not trying to pass them off as their own 

After the service - we headed for breakfast and a wander round the town to settle my eggs Benedict 

Then I came home and made flat parkin (just like in bake off) and also sweet potato soup
