Cornucopia

After the grey, cold and damp weather of the last couple of weeks, this morning the sun came out and we had blue skies!  We drove over to Felbrigg to wander round the superb walled garden, and were one of the first in when it opened so for quite a while had it pretty much to ourselves.

Anyone who knows the garden will know it is managed organically with pests being dealt with by the families of chickens which patrol the garden.  I took some photos of them but it was a little bright and they didn't come out well,  so this is one of the many garden sculptures that had been decorated for Halloween.

We definitely had the best bit of the day.  As we were driving home it became grey and damp again, and has been like that for the rest of the day.  I believe the forecast is for it to lift tomorrow; fingers crossed!
