Nick Cave

After a week which had its fair share of bad news... for the planet mainly, it was out to Downham Market and train down to Kings X. Grabbed a pasty, then headed for Barbican for an exhibition of costumes from Steve McQueen's film 'Blitz' - then to St. Paul's as it was the Lord Mayor's Show.. and free entry. Walked through to Spitalfields market and Brick Lane. Checked into our hotel, then down to Greenwich. A wander to the Trafalgar and then back for fish and chips at the Admiral Hardy. Over via DLR and Canary Wharf to the O2. We were there to see Nick Cave and it was a fantastic concert - excellent backing singers and a powerful sound and great atmosphere. Out and efficient trip back to hotel as we were going the opposite way to most of the 15000+ people at the gig. Back in hotel by 11.40 and gig had ended at 11...
