Dwarf Wild Briar Rose (I Think)

Just happened upon this lovely little gem (just over an inch in diameter) on my way home from a walk in the Valley of the Cross in Jerusalem. I photographed it rather haphazardly along with other gems in a small plotted garden next to a very busy street. After downloading and opening this jewel up, what a surprise to see such loveliness.

I am continually amazed at the gems of flowers that our Creator God has produced. God is certainly one of tenderness and love with exquisite taste and creativity.
