The difference a shingle can make...............

I have been watching the development of this wee guard house with interest.

Many of the posh houses around where I work have their own little guard house at the gate but this one is definately being developed with love and care.

The slab received lots of TLC to ensure that none of the leaves landing on it did any damage to the concrete. Then all of a sardine this wee hoose appeared.

It looked like a fairly normal guard house until the shingle man arrived and has taken almost a week to painstakingly apply each shingle by hand. He has all the shingles laid out and selects the next one after a lot of comparing of colours.

If this is what the guard house is like, I wonder what the big house looks like. Behind high walls and gates, I have only ever been able to glmpse the room and a little bit of the driveway.
