The Malt

Backblip for Wednesday 6/11. Arranged to meet my daughter at the garden centre this morning. This ancient pub, which I've photographed before, is across the old packhorse bridge leading out of the village. It used to be called The Malt Shovel Inn but the name was simplified to The Malt a few years ago when it was taken over by a pub chain. After a couple of coffees, lots of chatting and a look around the Christmas decorations I was going to catch the bus to town, but the bus passed by as I was leaving.  Instead I walked home and tried to read more of the book for Friday's book club before meeting friends for 3 &  go where we managed to arrange dates for our next meal out and our Christmas meal.
