Arachne

I enjoyed my day's activities in this order:
1. Building Brio train track with next door's children while their parents were out, then bringing them round to my house and listening to them making sounds on my piano.
2. Digging more of the trench in my garden. It involves using muscles that protest but I tell them it's good for them.
3. Going to another event in the Adventures in Consciousness Season: Emily Woof performing 'Blizzard'. The blurb was more enticing than the play. I laughed a bit, but mostly wondered what the interplay of neuroscience and kookiness was trying to say to me. I stayed for the Q&A afterwards to find out but found myself flung, again, into a pit of incomprehensible academia, so left. This is the fifth event in this season that I've been to, all underwhelming, and I have tickets for another two.
4. Having round to tea someone I haven't seen for several years, who finds life a struggle and talks in microscopic detail about his problems. Tedious. I think he heard a couple of my pointers towards the uplands.
