Copper Beech

I thought I better Blip a bit earlier than usual as I have a busy day and will be travelling to Lyme Regis again tonight. So, if I don't Blip now, there is a real danger of you getting the motorway service station!
This beautiful tree is in Montpellier Gardens in Cheltenham. The reason for the fence is because it has a fungal disease and branches have been dropping off. The fence is to discourage people from resting under the branches. The council are doing a great job trimming it and keeping it going for as long as possible but they think it will have to come down in 2016.
It is 200 years old and I included the chap on the bench on the right to give you some scale.
