The Blue Vase...
A day of pottering.
The dining room table is still full of stuff that was removed from shelves, window sills and tables when the kitchen and garden rooms were being painted. They are sitting there waiting for me to decide which ones I want to keep and which ones are being relegated to the loft / charity shop.
I had hoped the new sofas would be here (originally delivery date 11th November but now been given an estimate of last week Nov / 1st week Dec) to help me decide which nik naks best suit, but I am fed up with the dining table looking like a bric a brac sale, so decisions have been made!
When I was tidying things into the hall cupboard I saw the blue vase I bought ages ago for painting / photography purposes. Of course it's never been used again since then and had been in the cupboard as it didn't match any of our decor. But now it does and it's in the kitchen and it provided today's blip. Second time it's been blipped so it's fulfilling it's photography purpose after all :-)
Also made some Empire biscuits as part of Keith and Mairi's anniversary gift for tomorrow. Well I say I made but what I really did was put jam in the middle and ice them, as I had a batch already made in the freezer. That's my freezer stock used up now so need to add Empire biscuits to my festive baking list. Going back to making my own madeira cake this year too, as even M&S's wasn't that great last year.
Also made plans for next weekend when D is away on his annual coffee and cake walking/golfing weekend in the Lake District. Time is flying by!
