Scraped
the old yellow paint off a chair I found in the street. There is a lot more to go but it looks much better. We went to an art exhibition that featured work I didn't like in a venue that I did. George Grosz for the curious. I liked the ink and paper medium but the war images were a bit much after this week of weeks. Unexpectedly the venue was a disused petrol station. It dated from 1920s? I think it has been sold recently.
Some essential food shopping was done. Popped to another exhibition this time photos. There was a theme of joy despite adversity. None of the photos convincingly tackled the topic to my eye. The exhibition was interesting to see nonetheless. I was reminded of learning about making observations during my early years training. Sometimes what you see is obvious but there are plenty of times when more information is needed to make sense of an image. Words should compliment as opposed to repeat. Sounds easy in theory but it is hard in practice.
