I bought an "early access" ticket to Stourhead to photograph during the golden hour... I was there by 7:30
It didn't rain (unlike last year) but the sky was wall-to-wall bleugh. No lovely mists rising from the water. Maybe next year. The leaf colours were lovely though, as was the mug of hot spiced apple juice I treated myself to before driving home.
