In the dunes

The weather was splendid so we tried a new trail and Maggie enjoyed being with us.
Her incontinence in the house drives me nuts but outside she is as adorable as always. When Don went up that steep dune, she sat down with me, and watched him for a long time. Still keeping the pack together.
For me the rest of the day was rather low energy. Self-reproaches for all the things that I haven’t gotten done yet and that are pretty urgent. Dealing with the company that takes care of our pension plan f.i.

I took again responsibly for the little stray cat that we have been feeding for 4 years. We left it behind when we moved, I wrote a long letter to the new owners of our house explaining the cats presence, but they don’t seem to be willing to tolerate it. So I found it on tuesday , when it was raining hard, wedged underneath the ramp into our new aluminum shed in the lot across the street that we kept ; we call it our potato lot as we had a potato field there for two years. Now dahlias are blooming there.
This cat is wounded and keeps scratching its wounds open every day. It is too shy as that I ever would have had a chance to catch it and bring it to the vet.
So I decided to build a house for him for the winter.
