Grey but Good Day

FRIDAY

A much cooler and overcast day with temperatures struggling to reach double figures.

I spent an hour in the garden before heading over to East Parade at Rhyl for a game of bowls with Paul, Max and Keith. The green is in an exposed position near the seafront so, after a couple of hours bowling, I was ready to warm up over a cup of coffee.

I had arranged to meet John (another friend from the bowls club) at M&S cafe in Prestatyn, so I headed over there for coffee, cake and a good catch-up. On my way out of the store I bumped into my wife Prue who just happened to be in town so we returned to the cafe for more food and drink.

An eight mile drive home in the dark and a telephone call with Harriet before dinner.
