My 'Office' ial Birthday

It's not my birth certificate Birthday until the 30th July but I am away on holiday so today is my 'Office'ial birthday. Staff where I work have known that I will be 50 this year for a long time. I've haven't made a secret of it either. For along time I have decided to embrace it. I don't feel 50 years old, in fact what is 50 supposed to feel like? We are all going out for lunch at a local hostelry to celebrate and then there will be cakes. I wasn't surprised as I cycled up the drive to work that someone would have broadcast the fact it was my birthday. Spoilt a good bedsheet in my opinion.
