The Last Mile

The title of an article by Dorothy Wickenden in the Nov. 4, 2024 article in the New Yorker. She writes movingly about the aid workers with an organization called Anera in Gaza. Inspired by their motto, Where Hope Finds a Way, I  made a donation to them today. My main photo is an edited screenshot of their website. I'm distressed sickened by the fact that we are still fueling the carnage with US weapons. I'm waiting for news that doesn't sicken me, but in the meantime I can try to help and an organization with HOPE in their motto gives me a little.

I so appreciate all the thoughtful comments I've been getting. I'm beyond grateful for them and will respond to all of them, but am going to make a real effort not to rant anymore. There is still much good to be done in the world and I am going to do my best to concentrate on that.
