View From Upstairs In The Bookshop…
… Probably my favourite bookshop (which is in Cromford) but in fairness, most bookshops have been, at some point, my favourite.
I need a new book like a fish needs a bicycle, but I managed to buy two, (secondhand bargains) what can you do Gladys?
Arrived home just about in the light, and spoke to the Eldest Elderly.. Who never ceases to amaze me… Tonight, quite seemingly ‘with it’, he mentioned, by NAME, his youngest great grandchild. A name he has shown no interest in for some ten years or more… Yet tonight, this child ‘is coming to see me this evening’… I have wondered about dementia for many years, and where the mind really is… It makes you wonder.
Aside from that… It’s chip night. Thwarted somewhat, by a lunch ‘out’. What a dilemma! Himself, unwisely in my humble opinion, went for the chips, which did look very tempting and good. I held back. A stoic, going for a mushroom and Stilton on a sour dough toast affair. (Chip night is sacrosanct for some of us!).
The wine forecast is basically just accurate stuff left over from yesterday.
Happy Friday one and all :-)
