Plaza Mayor, Madrid

Bb was up and out early to go to the Madrid IESE campus and was there all day. I worked online and popped out for coffee and toast for breakfast in the terrace of the wee place bottom right in the college here. I have a soft spot for it and it’s a good place to people watch, being right next to the Opera House and the Opera metro station. I had a wander at lunchtime too and had a special toasted sandwich in Oscars, an old traditional place, up near Gran Via, just 10 mins away.

Bb and I met tonight in Plaza Mayor. He came straight from IESE. Here he is on the square! The other shot is when I walked to meet him and passed by the Mercado de San Miguel. It’s near Plaza Mayor and is a gourmet paradise, with each stall selling their specialty food. Wish Barcelona had one like this!

Back to the Kangnam’s Korean for us though! Such good value! And a glass of wine on the side terrace of La Taverna Real, opposite the Opera House, on the way back.

A good Madrid day! I must admit, it’s very nice to hear Castellano everywhere.
