The icing on the cake …

… was double layered.

From 7am onwards, I was clearing and cleaning. Elbows had online work meetings through the day but whenever he had a chance, he lumbered up the garden with stuff to store or throw. I think today, 2 or 3 rooms are done done.

I was working without stopping, knowing there was lots to look forward to.

2 of which were this evening. I headed to Lee Valley lake and had a quick swim. I was the only swimmer there but it was so therapeutic. Then joined a little gathering to celebrate a certain persons birthday. A really lovely evening with a takeaway and this awesome cake. Nice friends.
