Contraption

This is some kind of home made contraption that the grounds keepers at the hippodrome use. They hook it up to a tractor and then drag it along behind it. It does some kind of roller action.

The first time the dog saw it he barked at it, to let me know that he had seen it and it was new. Once I'd assured him it was safe he was happy and gave it a sniff and then marked it. Now when we walk past it he gives it a fresh sniff and mark. In the dark when it's harder to see what it is he is a bit more weary of it...
