Mighty oak

Another dull day here.

This lovely oak resides in a close with a circle of grass and trees.  It's a pleasant place to walk to.

Met friend Giovanna for coffee and catch-up this afternoon.  

Took Kyro for a walk after 4pm.  Light already dwindling.

Fireworks still going off every now and then.  The pattern seems to be 6-7pm and then later at 10.30 - 11.30pm. I believe that legally they  should only be let off for bonfire night, Divali, Chinese new year and new year's eve and only between nighttime hours.  Certainly not happening like that here.  

I've seen many Americans posting on threads what Trump's Project 2025 means.  It's pretty shocking.  Women's rights eroded,  reminded me of the little I could watch of The Handmaid's Tale.  How can so many vote to shoot themselves in both feet.  So reminiscent of the Brexit vote.  We must hope the reality won't materialise .  .  .
