The amazing North Coast

A wonderful trip along the lesser visited North East coast, from Sao Vicente, as far as Calhau de Sao Jorge.

Spectacular vistas, so different from Funchal and the South coast. Winding roads, the glorious laurasilva forest, and ending up at the Ruinas de Sao Jorge. We called into the Rose Garden, a former tourist favourite, which is now being restored by Pestana, along with a very impressive hotel. (Extra)
