Sun on the Smoke Bush

Love how the sun was giving such a great vibrancy to this plant. Mum bought it for us many years ago and it has grown a lot and it’s a fabulous dark purple colour changing into this in the autumn.

I was back in Nero again this morning meeting Vicky, who I first got to know at the camera club many years ago.

She is such a great character! I was shocked when she told me she had a big birthday in January. I asked what age she was and she said 80! No way, her skin is so smooth, she has an adventurous spirit (just back from a tour of Sri Lanka) and is off in a cruise on Friday from Dundee to the Norwegian Fjords. She is going to Kerala in India for her 80th. She does tours as she is in her own since her husband died 5 years ago. We had a great chat for 1.5 hours and she persuaded me to go back to the Club tonight.

Which I did! A good turn out they have 74 members nowadays. There were some old faces I knew but many new people.

I feel encouraged to get going with it again.
