96 and not out

So today was mum's birthday.  96 and doing well despite her infection.  As you can see, she is home and has been now for two weeks.   She has been in a "hospital at home" situation where a community nurse came and checked her vitals, the drip, dressing etc daily and carers are coming three times a week to assist with showering etc.  The drip has been out since Monday.  She has many more weeks of antibiotics to go.  Her ACAT has been reassessed and she now qualifies for a lot of assistance.   There are long waiting lists for that sort of thing so we will see how it goes but the main thing is to take some pressure off my brother who basically is her carer.

We had a quiet celebration for her at home this evening.

My apologies though as I am not getting around to journals much while I am down here.  I will make a concerted effect tomorrow to get the MM results out.
