Amaryllis

This is my October bulb basket. 3 amaryllis bulbs, each producing double stems.

I began my day with an appointment at LabCorp to have bloodwork done in preparation of my infusion next week.

While driving to the appointment, I received a message from my mum letting me know that she had had a minor heart attack last night. All seems as well as can be expected today.

I then went home to meet with Canady’s who were at the house to do the quarterly spraying for pests. I took this time to call my brother & aunt to let them know about mum.

Then I was off to take my laptop to the Geek Squad. When doing an update it had lost internet connection and so not completed the download leaving my computer with a nonfunctional operating system.

The tech tried a few different things without success and then asked me about resetting it to factory settings. Said I would rather not but if it had to be done, between Carbonite & iCloud, I could retrieve just about everything. He then asked if I would leave it with him a couple of hours and he’d call me when it was ready.

True to his word, it was two hours later that he called for me to come pick it up. When I got there, he gave me two pieces of great news. He had repaired the operating system without having to erase anything on my computer. Awesome. There was no charge for the service! How amazing is that?! Made my day.

Spent the rest of the day doing the latest iOS update on the computer and then cleaning out the emails from the past couple of months.
