Poetry exhibition ...

.... In a phone box in a little village called Litton. I had a huge choice of photos for my Blip today as it was the field trip day of the IEAGHG CCS summer school. We went to the British Geological Survey Keyworth site which had the awesome core store. Then we went to Eon's new technologies centre at Ratcliffe. Then we went to my new organisation's PACT (pilot-scale advanced carbon technology) facility. These were all great but it was en route to our final two destinations that a rather amusing incident took place that led us to Litton.

Our coach driver decided to follow the sat nav instead of the driving instructions we had so we ended up going tiny roads that was far too small for a large coach and it got well and truly stuck on a windy road. Cue all of us getting off and waking two miles along gorgeous English countryside roads to a pub called the Red Lion in a little village called Litton. We had a rather wonderful three and a half hours there before we got 'rescued'. And this phone box with a poetry exhibition was just across the road.

What a day,
