Awards

Tonight was our annual staff awards ceremony. I had nominated my manager for the lifetime achievement award (as she’s retiring next summer after over 38 years with the council). She didn’t win but as one of the shortlist she and I were invited to the ceremony (and she brought her manager as her guest).

The picture features all those shortlisted from the public health team, including Sean from our welfare rights service who won employee of the year.

It was a lovely evening, but after a busy day of meetings I am glad to be home now!
