Afloat
Out gadding again and just back from seeing Small Things Like These . Not exactly a feel good movie for a day like this, but Cillian Murphy is extraordinary. You come away, again marvelling and outraged at how this could have happened - and how ordinary people collude out of fear for their own lives becoming difficult. You can't help but wonder what you would have done. Set in the 1980s in Ireland, it's the broad story of a man, now a coal merchant, who, when delivering coal to the local convent, discovers something shocking that basically makes him reassess everything. Quietly devastating as someone cleverer than I noted.
Bantry looking good in the twilight - the hotel on the left (the cinema is in there somewhere) and Supervalu on the right.
I'm saying nothing else.
