St Asaph Cathedral
WEDNESDAY
I woke up at 6:00 a.m. and went to check the news. Not exactly the start to the day I’d hoped for, and it left me wishing I had just rolled over in bed.
After an hour on the 'phone with a Welsh Government Survey, I headed out to Denbigh to run a few errands. Then on to St Asaph. Despite holding city status, St Asaph is one of the smallest cities in Britain, with a population of just 3,500 and more of a village feel.
Once there, I made a quick visit to the Cathedral which is the smallest Anglican cathedral in the UK and dates back to the 13th century. Adjacent is the Translator's Tea Room, which is named in tribute to the Welsh Bible translators. A decaf cappuccino and toasted teacake was more than welcome.
Finally a walk through St Asaph and along the path alongside the River Elwy before heading home.
