Hospital Visit
An early start as R needed early dialysis in order to attend a hospital appointment. I managed to fit in Pilates before picking him up in order to make the afternoon appointment.
The operation to make a fistula (a safer means by which to receive dialysis) had failed. A disappointingly long time to get it looked at. Finally today we were told a scan is required to assess the blood vessels before a new fistula can be created. This process has so far been over a year. Now he is one of 30 patients awaiting 9 slots for fistula. Richard is far more patient than I am. Another waiting list joined.
This was by the out patient desk. A bit of shopping on the way home and that was the day done. Nest week is a visit to the transplant assessment team.
