Getting the sparkle back

This afternoon the literature class was on Zoom and it was the first week of James Hogg's Private Memoirs and Confessions of a Justified Sinner which was my suggestion. It wasn't universally detested, but probably wasn't a major hit either. So far the group has always chosen the books I've suggested (we do it democratically, with suggestions from anyone who wants to make them for each term, but the suggestions are anonymous), but I can't say that any of them has been a huge success. Maybe I'm guilty of misdescribing them.

Afterwards I did some more sewing together of squares in the hope of finishing off that task, but I may redo part of the last seam. I did it in more of a rush and therefore less carefully than the others and one of the crossing seams doesn't match up very well. It's the same old story of more haste less speed.

I don't know what the Blip rules are about politics, but I will just say that I was disappointed about the result of the American presidential election. Probably not as disappointed as just under half the population of the USA though.
