Old friends

I met up with a friend I haven't seen since last November today and she brought along her dog who behaved impeccably throughout. She is a sweetie (the dog) and was keen for strokes.  She was a puppy from a litter from another friend of mine which I photographed 11 years ago so she is a getting old now.. she may be one of these little ones from back then!

We have stocked up with a double load of logs in the shed.. hurrah! Little Jasper has headed back to the boat to start her overwintering.  I sent some logs to get the fire going and to cosy the two of them up tonight. I think the boat is very damp having not been lived in for a few weeks.  These endless damp and dreary, cloudy days are getting my goat.. and the US news has left me dumfounded... but here we are.. we must all work to spread love and kindness, inclusivity and generosity in this increasingly aggressive world.
