Hand luggage

This is the Maltese national soft drink, Kinnie, which I developed a taste for on holiday. It was launched in 1952, by the brewery Simonds Farsons Cisk (Farsons) which had been formed in 1929 from the merging of local brewer L. Farrugia & Sons (also known simply as 'Farsons') with the Maltese arm of UK company Simond's Brewery. This firm in turn merged with 'The Malta Export Brewery' in 1948.
Kinnie was devised to compete with the newly popular Cola products sweeping across Europe. With a bitter taste derived from oranges, spices and herbs, its recipe is of course secret. A diet and extra low calorie version (called Zest) are also available). Best served cold, the drink is now produced under licence in Australia, South Africa, Eastern Europe and exported to Russia. Here in the UK Kinnie can be bought in London, but it hasn't been rolled out across the rest of the country yet - although it can be purchased online via arch tax-avoiders Amazon.co.uk.
