Sweet Sacrifice

Dear O'H dear, Lovely Tea Jenny and The Mini Princesses,

Mary Doll’s surgery was today so I popped out to have a cup of tea with Victor until we had some news. I baked a cake this morning and cut a wedge to take with me.

The Prince always eyes up baking leaving the house with suspicion and stages a (tongue in cheek) protest. I pointed out we still have 3/4 of it left for us and he stated that it wasn’t A WHOLE cake. After a mini fractions discussion, I settled the matter with “his wife has cancer”! Much as he loves cake, The Prince doesn’t really grudge it being given away (under those circumstances)!

When Victor called, Mary Doll was settled and sleeping in HDU. It will be good to be able to see her tomorrow.
