Visiting Major
I should have blipped on Sunday (uploading on Wednesday) as many of you have asked how Martin is doing.
He’s fine for the most part, but in much agony. We haven’t got the results of the blood tests they did at emergency, he’ll get that tomorrow at the GP.
So Martin wasn’t able to join me today at my “work” church :(. David, my boss (seated at the right in this picture) especially asked if we could come along this Sunday as their friend from the UK is visiting and David was going to share their stories, and Major Richard was going to give a short recital. He’s a concert pianist.
So off I went with the assurance that Martin would be resting all day, as he is so fatigued!
I thoroughly enjoyed the meeting, I always do, wish I could go more often. Church was followed by a shared lunch which was lovely as well, and Major Richard was actually sat at the table where I was.
He used to be the private secretary to the Territorial Commander in the UK and then the General.
Lovely to hear his story of friendship with Kate and David and also enjoy his wonderful piano skills.
Back home to a rested but achy Martin,, awful to see him like this. But hopefully we’ll know more tomorrow.
