Blackhouse

We are staying in a restored Blackhouse. It’s a bit draughty and cold. Wouldn’t like to be there in winter, which makes me realise how soft I’ve got.
A day spent on the beaches of Wester Ross. Went to Gruinard, which is where the UK government ran an experiment to prove the efficacy of anthrax (on an island not terribly far from the mainland).

Night falls early up here in the north, and a rare clear night was a chance to try out a few long exposure shots. With the naked eye you could see the splash of the Milky Way overhead. Probably needed a wider angle lens to get it all in - a fisheye or something.
