Needle and thread

An old quilt of my Granny's.  It's been an extra layer on top of our duvet for ages, basically to the bedding clean from Lottie's paws and whatever she brings in on them! In order to get comfy, she has to circle and dig in it which has resulted in lots of stitches between the little squares coming adrift. 

It needs a good wash but I thought I had better mend it first. It took all afternoon, but was a nice gentle thing to do after a morning of secateur wielding in the front garden.
