The star of the day
Margret was transported by ambulance from Addenbrookes in Cambridge to Hexham General Hospital. It was not a comfortable journey and she was very relieved to arrive.
She did not leave until late morning, so I had time to go to choir this afternoon. I managed to sing OK so the asthma does seem to be much better. We are rehearsing for Christmas now and have a slot to sing at Wallington Hall.
I had an early meal and then went to see Margret. She has her own room so she should be able to sleep well. She was exhausted and I hope she will sleep.
Margret was quite feisty and telling the nurses how things should be done. They found a way to make her bed more comfortable and also found a duvet and blankets. (I was boiling in the room!)
I brought away loads of things from her trip and had to leave one suitcase until tomorrow!
Now I’m wondering if I should set my alarm to check the progress of the US elections, or just go to sleep?!
