3/5 Teasels
“Durham City: The teasels are dead now, but in summer their leaves form a little cup that traps water – and unwary insects.”
‘Country Diary’ in The Guardian newspaper.
Well it’s been a very grey day here today, yet the gloominess had a certain beauty to it. The reason? It was quite misty where we were as we once again walked up from Blockley to our highest point, and passed by Batsford Arboretum as we headed to Moreton-in-Marsh.
The mistiness shrouded everything and reduced visibility and made it all so atmospheric, particularly the woodland as we walked through it.
The teasels photo was the best I could do I’m afraid, although the walk is a wonderful one to do and we caught the bus back from Moreton to Blockley.
