A crow?

There's this bird on a small spruce next to the big pile of firewood. I don't know if it's injured or not, but it didn't move while I was snapping pictures of it, apart from turning it's head or adjusting it's position slightly. Apparently there's a nest in the tree. It looks a bit like a crow, but doesn't sound like one. I just wish I had a better camera.
