Softening re-entry

Our kind daughter knows how deflated one feels after two weeks in the sun, suddenly to be in the cold, grey UK. So when our son-in-law picked us up from the airport last night, he left a bunch of flowers with us, too. Here they are popped in with my Chinese lanterns!

They are uplifting. Must admit I'm sitting under a blanket right now. (Did pop into the garden earlier to deadhead a clump of Michaelmas daisies, but not for long!)

Tomorrow I have a blood test to look forward to. The holiday's over! (You might enjoy views from our homeward flight.)
