Gently down the stream

Cold

Well the weather let me down - or rather the BBC did.  Over the last couple of days I've watched the online forecast sliding from clear skies to grey - but always slightly better by the coast so I decided it was still worth going.  Besides the trains are running again so I thought why not?

It wasn't too bad - rather cold and only the odd patches of brightness but I still had a good walk, if not quite as lengthy as usual.  This little character was sitting on one of the fence posts surrounding the bird reserve.  I'm thinking it's a wheatear and am pleased as I haven't photographed one before.  It's looking cold too, don't you think?

Bonfire night tonight - allegedly.  I do wonder if we'll hear any crackles and bangs.  The main Winchester event isn't until Saturday, in the park.  Will I buy a ticket?  No, I don't think so, though I'm sure to see some of the shennanigans.

Have a happy evening, all  xx
