Late to the Party...

(Here I am, back-blipping again...)

Seems I missed the second annual Pumpkins in the Park party last night! Drat! It would have been SO much fun...and the park is just around the corner! How could I miss it? or forget it? 

It is a free community event on November 1 hosted by a couple of our town councillors where everyone is invited to bring last night's Hallowe'en pumpkins to decorate the park, sip on some hot chocolate and this year, to enjoy a rousing rendition of Michael Jackson's Thriller video performed by dancers from a local dance academy. Seems it was big success with 400 attending.... old and young alike.  

So, feeling sorry that I had missed all the fun and probably some excellent photo-ops, I ventured over there this morning to snap some of those pumpkins, but alas....they had all disappeared except one lonely little one hidden behind a tree...I assume the town garbage folks had already picked them all up and carried them off for composting?

Next year, I will be sure to mark the event on my calendar! Think of all those blip-ops!
